The Albert Head Cadet Band will host an Instrument Petting Zoo as part of the Symphony Splash`s Family Zone on the front lawn of the Empress. The cadets will let children and teens try out their instruments, giving them some guidance along the way.
The Band is made up of 30 air cadets between 13 and 15 years on the six-week intermediate musician course at Albert Head in Metchosin.
The young musicians will complete their course on Aug. 15.
The Air Cadet Music Program offers opportunities such as travel, performances at high profile community events, and instruction from professional musicians. All program costs are funded by the Department of National Defence and the Air Cadet League of Canada.
