A two-day experiential workshop with facilitator Dr Margaret Critchlow, Anthropologist, Educator, Cohousing Consultant, and Founding Member of Harbourside Cohousing.
A cohousing community is a neighbourhood designed and developed by its members to combine the independent autonomy of private homes with the social benefits of a congenial and energetic community. Workshop participants explore how to access the creative power of community to build a better world and improve quality of life.
Margaret draws on examples from other cultures, old-fashioned neighbourhoods, and contemporary cohousing communities. You will learn together how to work through differences collaboratively, make decisions well, and find creative solutions that enable the best in all of us. Recommended for anyone interested in the new Ravens Crossing Cohousing initiative on the Saanich Peninsula and other cohousing projects, such as West Wind Harbour Cohousing in Sooke.
A free Information session about the Ravens Crossing Cohousing initiative follows the workshop on Saturday (4.30 pm to 6.00pm). Info & registration on Eventbrite or visit our website http://www.ravenscrossing.ca/
