Irish Uilleann Piping Day and Session Jam

Irish Uilleann Piping day will be celebrated at North Oyster Community Centre in South Nanaimo. 11:00 - 12:00 the focus will be on Irish Pipes, trouble-shooting and player instruction. Then 12::00 - 2:00 will be a traditional Irish Session Open Circle, Everyone-Welcome-Jam. Bring your fiddle, mandolin, flute, whistle, pipes, guitar, bodhran, accordion, concertina, harp, etc and join this toe-tappin' casual winter afternoon.
Tunes will be pipe-friendly and will begin slow before picking up speed.
This is a family-friendly event and we welcome kids, teens, youth, parents and grandparents
If we have an extra set of student pipes on hand, visitors will be invited to try to play the Irish Pipes.
Admission is free, but a $5 donation at the door is most appreciated to support new Irish piper equipment.
