Artist, Brian Middleton, presents a special showing of his work entitled �iPad Paintings� June 25 � July 13, 2014 at The Old School House Arts Centre, 122 Fern Road West, Qualicum Beach. The opening reception is Wednesday, June 25 at 7 p.m.
Brian has practised his craft of painting for nearly forty years working in many mediums and he recently has discovered the exciting world of painting and drawing using his finger and his iPad� with retina display. He has coined the term �Virtual Impressionism� to capture the essence of his new work.
Brian's iPad works were recently featured in New York City ( November 2013) in a global survey of art publication titled; " International Contemporary Artists, Vol. VII".
David Hockney�s biography �A Bigger Picture� talks about his work with the iPad� and Brian�s fascination with Hockney�s use of a wide range of media and his willingness to embrace new technology inspired him to explore the world of art using the modern technology of iPad�.
