Introduction to Watercolour Painting
Wednesday November 12 and 19th from 12:30-4:30pm

The act of watercolour painting is a fascinating process involving questions like: What colour? What size? What shape? How wet? How dry? Popular, long-time gallery instructor Vida Newington will guide you through some watercolour basics and help you get started on your artistic journey.

Explore laying various washes and learn what brushes are best suited to various tasks. You will be introduced to colour mixing and colour palettes. We will also talk about considerations around composition and balance. Our focus will be on the natural west coast environment and subject matter like; Skies, seas, trees, flowers and rocks.

Gallery members $70 plus GST, non-members $80 plus GST  (for 2 days)

NOTE: We will process registration and payment for the workshop until Friday, November 7, at which time refunds will be given if we have not reached minimum registration.
