Intrepid Theatre presents 2 Dope Boys in a Cadillac's The Anthropocalypse � A Psychedelic Talk Opera at Intrepid Theatre Club on September 7, 2013.

The Anthropocalypse is a prophecy of humanity�s imminent self-destruction. And The Anthropocalypse is the world�s first psychedelic talk opera � a view of the modern world through the lens of the two lone survivors of a remote region in northern BC, the Cadillac Mountains. Twisting reality into myth and myth into reality, 2 Dope Boys in a Cadillac�s The Anthropocalypse presents the end of humanity in a way that is darkly comic and wildly light-hearted.

Johnny MacRae and shayne avec i grec have spent the past three years touring North America, developing the show�s material through feature performances at poetry slams and folk festivals, including a rough cut dress rehearsal performed for a full house at the Victoria Spoken Word Festival in February 2013. The duo are working extensively with director Graham McDonald to put the final pieces in place for the official premiere of The Anthropocalypse at the Intrepid Theatre Club on Saturday, September 7th as part of The You Show season. A unique blend of poetry and theatre, fact and fiction, surrealist satire and modern fantasy, that explores the mythical revelation of the Anthropocalypse (or humanity�s self-destruction), through the stories of two young men from a community in BC�s fabled Cadillac Mountains, who find themselves lost when their home is destroyed.
