In honour and celebration of International Women�s Day 2014, the Didi Society will be showing two hours of the multi-part documentary Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. The film profiles a global movement to change the lives of women and girls worldwide. Admission is by donation with proceeds going to The Didi Society�s education program here in Victoria and to fund projects for Didi�s partner women�s cooperatives in India and Guatemala. After the screening, there will be a panel of women speaking about the economic, political and social forces affecting women throughout the globe.
