The Canadian Federation of University Women Parksville-Qualicum invites the public to a special live stream celebratory event.

For over 100 years, International Women’s Day has marked the celebration of women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievement. It is a day on which we to honour our past achievements, while using our collective voices to continue the acceleration of women's equality throughout the world.

This year, our esteemed guest is Dorothy Woodend, noted writer and cultural editor of The Tyee. Please join us as she presents “Female Trouble: Movies & #MeToo”, discussing the evolution of how women have been portrayed in films as well as women’s roles in the film industry.
