Hosted by the Nanaimo Community Action Team on the Overdose Crisis. Highlights include welcome and prayer on behalf of Snuneymuxw First Nations, reading of the City of Nanaimo International Overdose Awareness Day Proclamation, speakers and story sharing, a variety of local service providers at pop-up resource tables, naloxone training and harm reduction education on behalf of AVI, art in the park with Rise Bridge and more! Help us to remember 274 lives lost (since 2011), who were mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, neighbors, and friends, plus countless others who have suffered harm and grief from the ongoing lethal drug poisoning crisis.
