Feathers of Fire
From the Persian Book of Kings, a cinematic shadowplay film. Conceived, Designed, Directed by Hamid Rahmanian, in Collaboration with Larry Reed and ShadowLight Productions. Vibrant graphics, from the visual tradition of the Middle East, become shadow cast puppets, costumes, masks, scenography and digital animation, on an outdoor screen and tell the action-packed magical tale of star-crossed lovers from the 10th century Persian epic, Shahnameh.

Backyard Dances
An art film by Dustin Anderson featuring submissions by local families dancing. We provided the music; you provided the dance. A full-on, fun, family experience of moving joy edited into this short clip of life in Nanaimo by Dustin Anderson.

Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. Due to COVID restrictions, locations will be announced the day of the event to registrants only. PLEASE wear your mask, bring your own water, stay in vehicle except for washroom use.

Because the health and safety of our community is our highest priority we have strict and specific, VIHA approved, guidelines for attendance for each event. These guidelines are based on Phase 2 level interactions. We ask your good faith in abiding by them to ensure our festival is able to operate through its completion. You will be asked to complete contact information as part of completing your ticket purchase. Tickets are limited on a range of 20 to 40 per show. They must be purchased in advance. Locations of events will be provided to you the day of the show - Corona Rave style - this is to ensure there are no walk ups as total numbers at each event must be accounted for.
