Is it possible to understand India in just a day?
October 10, 2015 wasn’t a particularly meaningful day – not a national holiday or anniversary, and it had no religious significance. But on this day, through an initiative backed by Google, millions of people across India turned on their cameras and smartphones and recorded their lives, then uploaded their footage to a website.

That’s when Richie Mehta’s (Siddharth VFF 2014, Amal 2008) work began alongside a team of editors to produce a heartfelt image of the people across this vibrant country. The director’s point of view is always the guiding principle in any film but here it is the POV of thousands of people capturing fast-paced symphonies of traffic jams, chocolate vendors, newspapers, phone calls, taking time for cricket, and sharing intimate moments with people coming to terms with their lives.

The inhabitants here live life as a fast, boisterous and vibrant daily journey.
It’s a remarkable country to celebrate and you will be glad you made the expedition.
