The newly launched “In Tune with …” series continues Saturday, October 03, featuring violinist Marc Destrubé and harpsichord player Christina Hutten in performance of Baroque music on period instruments.
The day begins with a clinic titled "Playing in the Baroque Style." Bring your violin, viola, cello, or double bass and play your part in "The Nations," a musical travelogue by G. P. Telemann that depicts various European cultures! Marc and Christina will coach the session, for which you can register and download your music part at www.intunewith.ca
After the clinic, Marc and Christina will present an afternoon concert and guide us through music of well- and lesser-known Baroque composers. The concert program is available at www.intunewith.ca
The afternoon concert will be followed by masterclasses for pre-registered participants and interested audience. More information is available at www.intunewith.ca
All events will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian church in Nanaimo, 4235 Departure Bay Road.
