Wednesday, May 21st, 2014
12:00 PM to 1:30 PM

HR practitioners gather to top up their knowledge, share successes and lessons-learned, and take-away practical tips, tools and techniques. The topic for this session is an open format. Participants are encouraged to bring real-life HR-related scenarios, challenges/questions and/or best-practices that they would like to share and/or see discussed by the group. The Roundtable Leader will guide the dialogue and encourage participation.

Topic and facilitator Information: Open Roundtable Format

When you go into a roundtable, its not about just getting your question answered, it also lets you interact with others in the same field, who are often experts and consultants with a broad knowledge, and listen to what other attendees have to share.

There is also a solid chance that at least one person in the room has experienced the same problem you face, and has solved it. Perhaps some have found different solutions to your problem, which may be appropriate for you.

An additional highlight of attending and participating in roundtables is that you receive unexpected valuable information. You will likely hear about problems that you havent faced yet, but will in the future. Although you may not be aware of the issue yet, hearing solutions from other professionals will help you plan accordingly. Finally roundtable sessions are not only informative but they can be a lot of fun too.

The next roundtable will be an open agenda. Guest facilitators from the roundtables this past year have been invited back to join us. Those who are able to attend will be happy to answer any follow-up questions in relation to their topic.

Topics include:

Mentoring
Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace
HRs role in balancing Culture and Strategy
Emergency Management
Professional Burnout
Putting the ability back into dis-Ability Management
The Financial Side of Succession Planning
