Through an overview of her artistic practice, artist and art consultant Katie Brennan walks listeners through the very beginnings of her education and career in art, highlighting what worked for her, what didn’t and what she was thinking at critical points along the way. She also speaks candidly about finding a balance between art and business and why she believes that no two artists’ careers should ever look the same.

Katie Brennan holds a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and an MFA from the University of Guelph. Previously she was the Curator of the Lake Country Art Gallery, a sessional lecturer at UBC Okanagan and the Executive Director of the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan. Currently, Katie is a full-time self-employed artist and art consultant who makes her living exclusively from her art.
