From the hearts and minds of people worldwide springs an infinite and precious collection of songs passed down from generation to generation. Join us and delight in the many ways in which Songs of the Folk have evolved and influenced cultures and genres throughout the ages- songs of camaraderie, comfort, wisdom and love. They draw us together and fill our hearts with the ultimate common bond- humanity. To help achieve this common bond A Cappella Plus presents a program of songs from a variety of countries, eras and composers. The range of music is wide, from Fair Phyllis, a madrigal, to Baba Yetu, an adaptation of a Swahili folk song used in the video game Civilization.

Some of the countries on our journey are Canada (Newfoundland), South Africa, Korea, USA, Sweden, England, France and Cuba. Many of the songs are well known and well loved. Come early and enjoy a drink from the bar and chat with friends. Refreshments will be served at intermission. Tickets are available on line from www.acappellaplus.ca or from choir members. All tickets sold in advance, no tickets at the door.
