The Hornby Island Blues Odyssey is a unique stage show with a “once only” revue of blues musicians showcasing their deep individual talents through extraordinary live jam energy. It boasts the largest blues revue in Western Canada, making it the concert choice of thousands of music fans each year.

Now in its 17th year, the Odyssey continues to tour the best blues and roots players in Canada. With multiple Maple Blues and Juno winners, the 2016 Hornby Island Blues Odyssey showcases the incredible guitarists Jack de Keyzer, Paul Deslauriers, Ricky Paquette, Tim Williams, Brandon Isaak, and Rick Fines. Vocalists include reigning Maple Blues queen Angel Forrest and the astonishing Erin McCallum. On keyboards multiple Maple Blues winner David Vest; on bass Quebec’s Denis Coulombe, on harp the legendary Sherman “Tank” Doucette, and holding it in orbit drummer Bill Hicks.

After working as instructors all week at the Hornby Island Blues Workshop and firming up their groove in two mid-week concerts on the island, these ten world-class musicians are ready to bring you a one night only performance exclusive to the Sid Williams Theatre. The 2016 Hornby Island Blues Odyssey will entertain you with three hours of all the blues you love – Memphis, Delta, or Country; and whatever blues shake you down, be they jump, juke, or barrelhouse.
