Holly is a fiction writer from Vancouver Island, British Columbia. When not at her writing desk, chai close at hand, she practices Dentistry, and enjoys painting, hiking and gardening in the beautiful and wild BC outdoors.
Her first novel, Between Heaven and the Sea (formerly titled 1620 Mayflower) is an homage to the stories of her Mayflower ancestors told to her across a dimly lit kitchen table, long ago, in a cozy Maritime saltbox.
Her latest novel, In The Company of Wild Things, is a tale of self-discovery set in 1980's Hornby Island, Canada, and Ballycanew, Ireland. Like her first novel, the story is one close to her heart. Family tales of sorrow and loss, particularly connections to the notorious Fairbridge Farm School, inform her characters' histories. But, there's plenty of fun and romance too in this light and thought provoking read as Mary embraces Wilding, and Bruce learns to embrace himself.
