The Museum at Campbell River is offering a unique opportunity to explore Quadra Island’s rich history. Jeanette Taylor, the author of The Quadra Story and Exploring Quadra Island, will take you off the beaten path to see some of the sights that visitors to Quadra Island may not have the opportunity see on a self-guided tour. Visit the petroglyphs at Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge, and see the Lucky Jim Mine. The tour includes stops at three heritage homes and gardens that are not otherwise open to the public. Jeanette Taylor has an infectious passion for stories and brings the history of this island to life through her storytelling.
This tour will take place Saturday June 24, and at this point final details are being worked out so a list has been started of people interested in participating.
Registration is through the Museum at Campbell River at 250-287-3103.
