On each Sunday throughout July and August, the Museum's boat tours take you throughout the enchanting Discovery Islands. Unequalled for their spectacular scenery, the Discovery Islands are also rich in history. Our museum guides have inspiring stories to tell and Discovery Marine Safaris skippers will make sure you don't miss any wildlife sightings. Certain trips also include lunch stops at Dent Island Lodge, Refuge Cove and Blind Channel Resort.

Cost per person:

Sonora Island with Dent Island Lunch Stop: $160 per person. Gratuities and alcoholic beverages not included.

Desolation Sound with Refuge Cove lunch stop: $150. Gratuities and alcoholic beverages not included.

Thurlow Islands with Blind Channel Resort lunch stop: $150 Gratuities and alcoholic beverages not included.

Other tours are $135 per person and include a picnic lunch, cold beverages and coffee break. Tax not included.

The trip to Yorke and Hardwicke Islands: Passengers will be taken by bus from Campbell River to the Port of Kelsey Bay where Discovery Marine Safaris boat will be docked. They will first visit Hardwicke Island where from Patterson Bay you can see some of the buildings Bendickson Logging had brought over on floats from Yorke Island after World War II. The boat will circumnavigate Yorke Island and weather permitting, will cruise up to Port Neville before returning to the dock at Kelsey Bay.
