As the weather turns warmer, Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation (NLSF) is kicking off the season by bringing back their popular spring craft market. You’ll want to mark the date so you can check out the beautiful artisanal crafts.
The “Hello Spring” market features hand-made crafts from over 90 Island-based vendors. “With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s a great opportunity to browse the quality curated handiwork on display to find the perfect gift,” says Crystal Dennison, Executive Director of NLSF. “We’re excited to showcase a variety of crafts from across the Island, so there’s something for everyone.” The wide range of wares includes cards, scarves, jewelry, soap and candles.
Entrance is free, though donations will be taken at the door. The family-friendly shopping experience includes food trucks on site, a children’s activity, and raffles for a variety of gift baskets, many with items donated by the vendors.
Proceeds from the entrance donations, table rentals and raffles will benefit the NLSF’s student support program to help local school children living in poverty.
