Join us at 9pm to Screen films exploring themes of the river projected onto a converted 1990 Blue Bird school bus turned studio!


Chateau Wolff wine and snacks will be available for purchase. Please bring a blanket or cushion to sit on.


As an act of providing space for communal exchange and learning about the Millstone River, artist Heather Kai Smith will host community members and organizations to share their knowledge of the river in this agricultural area of Nanaimo. For an all-ages event please come at 5 pm for family exploration.


Accessibility:


Participants may need to walk 100-400m from their parking space to the event location. This location is not wheelchair accessible. Some seating will be available. At the family home of David Elmhurst at 2108 Maxey Road, opposite East Wellington Park Parking is limited, carpooling and biking are encouraged.


Taking place along the Millstone River, huli u’tu staluẃ / Riverbed is a new series of artworks, walks, performances, readings, and workshops that will move upstream from July to October.
