Winning the Tony Award for Best Revival and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance Operetta is a gut-busting comedy sure to challenge any teen artist.

From the Pirate King, to the Major General, and even the Police brigade, this laugh-out-loud musical is a fantastic opportunity for teens to sharpen their wit, fineness their operatic vocal skills, and learn the elements of Comedy/Parody, Satire and Topsyturvydom! Fair warning – G&S can be addictive.

Once you get a taste, don't be surprised if you long for much more. This is a Young Adult Stage production, available for actors ages 15 - 21. Our acclaimed programs gives talented students the opportunityto participate in full-scale, youth-only productions of the highest quality with some of the best professional directors, choreographers, and designers in the Nanaimo area.

Cast members within the Young Adult Stage program receive ongoing training in acting, voice, and movement! An audition is required to be admitted into the program.
