Harp and Cello Festival
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Two full days (Friday and Saturday) of music making with cello and harp. Students of all ages (12 and up) and all levels will particpate in workshop classes and ensemble groupings of cello and harp, with clinicians Morag Northey, Cello, and Marilyn Rummel, harp.
Morag is an inspiring teacher and performer who will add the beautiful sonorities of cello to an annual harp event in the Cowichan. Cello and harp students alike will find study ways to play together in small and large groups - and you might even discover a playing partner!
Friday evening will feature a concert open to the public followed by a gentle jam. The workshop ends Sat 3:30, but the celebration continues with Morag's play "17" that evening. This is a must-see theatre piece featuring the cello. Tickets available separately for this, but workshop participants come at no extra cost!
