An evening of food, music, and entertainment, with all proceeds going towards the sponsorship of Vancouver Island University's incoming refugee students. HARAMBEE is a Swahili expression meaning "all pull together".
The Harambee Gala is organized by a group of globally concerned students and faculty at VIU who work in partnership with the World University Service of Canada (WUSC). Together they share the belief that EDUCATION CHANGES THE WORLD.
The committee provides financial and social support for the refugee students and helps them integrate into a new society, culture, and a new way of life. Please join us at this fantastic event and help change a life forever.
