Here is a rare opportunity for your family to see Grimm’s fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel, just in time for Halloween! Opera Nanaimo presents an adaptation of Hansel and Gretel with music and lyrics by Englebert Humperdinck - sung in English. Stage Director is Mari Lyn Kelly and Musical Director is Carol Fetherston.

All actors are from Vancouver Island and professionally trained in opera. Set design is by Jolyon Brown and Costume design by Enid Jaques. Musicians are two pianos and bass. With delightful folk tunes, the story explores the universal themes of poverty, peril and bravery resulting in the triumph of good over evil and and a happy ending for all. Well, except for the witch! Tickets for children under 16 years have been reduced to make this show affordable for the whole family.
