If someone on your list would appreciate a unique handmade gift, Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation (NLSF) has good news. They’re celebrating the season by bringing back “Handmade for the Holidays” at the end of November.
“As the weather turns colder, we’re all starting to think of the festive season and finding that perfect gift,” said Crystal Dennison, Executive Director of NLSF. “With over 80 vendors, our market has a wide selection of beautiful hand-made crafts for any budget, taste and style.”
Entrance is free, though donations will be taken at the door. Browse all the local handmade vendors including handmade cards, decorations, sewing, jewelry, soap and art. Children can head to a special station to write a letter to Santa which they can take home for their own hearth or leave to be mailed to the North Pole.
A food truck will be on site for hungry shoppers. 2 beautiful gift baskets filled with items donated by our vendors will be raffled. Proceeds from the entrance donations, table rentals and raffles will benefit the NLSF’s student support program.
“The holiday season is the perfect time for people and communities to come together,” said Dennison. “Local markets like ‘Handmade for the Holidays’ let us share in the talents of people from all over the Island, while helping support local students in need.”
