Hard Rock band that's putting Courtenay, BC on the Map!
Bree Blake:Bree was originally a singer/songwriter/guitarist who was making a name around the Valley before we snagged her into Fighting For Yesterday. All it took was our good hard tunes, telling her to sing loud and hard, and a few beers...and we had her for good. Bree's Been playing music all her life. with doing shows and recording Albums, songwriting and playing a hand full of different instruments. With her own unique, raspy vocals. she brings a new sound into the music along with some awesome, catchy new lyrics.
Shane Gubersky (Guber):Started my guitar career when I was 15 years old and built my skills from listening to Nirvana and Deftones. Over the years of progression, I have been learning more new age heavy metal music like Mudvayne, Slipknot, Disturbed and KoRn. I became more technical on my guitar, but yet not know what notes they are... Yeah I don't know notes :/On the other hand I still know how to rock a guitar. When I joined the band in Aug 2010, The band just went through a rough time with some events and I came into the picture and rocked it out that first jam up on east side Courtenay. After that well this is where I am now :P
John Doucet:John started playing guitar when he was in grade 10, and continued off and on into his 20s. He started a band in Penticton called Secret Chord, who he played with for 2 and 1/2 years. Playing various shows and events around the Okanagan. He moved back to Courtenay in 2009 and soon after met Fighting For Yesterdays drummer Steve and the two started to play together.
Cody Love:Cody has been friends and occasional roommates with the bands drummer for ten years, and like any good roommate, when the band in the garage needed a bass player, he offered his services. It was the first time hed seriously learned an instrument, and youd never know hed only been playing a few months! A journeyman mechanic by trade Cody has been balancing work and band life, making the most of both.
Mark Holley:Mark is the newest member in the band, and fills the spot perfectly. Normally he usually plays guitar, but also loves to drum. Brought him in to the band because he can drum, and do it well with what he has.
Cathedral Groove
was created by guitarist/songwriter Keenan Lee, and bassist Brian Wilson during the summer of 2012. The duo had been jamming together for a few years, and built a repertoire of songs with a sound unique to themselves. After deciding music was their passion they recruited drummer Rod Kervin, and have set out to share their sound with their valley home under the name Cathedral Groove.
Set up of the band:
Keenan Lee: Guitar/lead vocals

Rod Kervin: Drums
