Gypsy Passion: Love Songs for May Day

Hannah Mitchell (mezzo), Paul Boughen (bass), John Doughty (tenor; all formerly of Hexaphone) and Rebecca McClure (soprano) join together to sing Brahms' Zigeunerlieder (Gypsy songs), a vibrant and entrancing song cycle of love and longing. Anna Filippo is accompanying on the piano.
The group will also share a selection of beautiful solos and duets: Faure, Purcell, Barber, and others. There’s an hour’s worth of music along with a brief intermission. Refreshments will be available. Entrance is by donation.
