Guest Concert: David Stewart, violin & Jane Coop, piano The Orion Series in Fine Arts presents violinist David Stewart and pianist Jane Coop performing works by Eugène Ysaÿe and Edvard Grieg inspired by a visit Ysaÿe paid to Grieg in 1882.
The program will include Ysaÿe's Légende norvégienne which was re-discovered 4 years ago in a library in Brussels and has only been performed in Belgium.
David Stewart taught violin for more than 20 years at the University of Ottawa and is currently the concertmaster of the Bergen Philharmonic.
Jane Coop is an internationally recognized concert pianist and has appeared as a recitalist and as a soloist with major symphony orchestras throughout the world.
