Growing Gardeners Workshop (for kids aged 6-8)

This fun and interactive workshop will introduce children to the delicious world of edible treats that can be grown easily in home gardens in Victoria. Our focus will be on plants that can grow equally happily outside or in a container. Through games and hands-on activities, participants will learn to connect with where their food comes from, as well as gaining a basic understanding of plant and soil biology (aka, what makes plants grow well?!).
Participants will help harvest, prepare (and enjoy) a snack fresh from the garden. Each kid will leave with some simple recipes and a small container garden they planted themselves.
Suggested donation: $5-10 (no one turned away)
