You will learn a little of the history of tomatoes, the various types of tomatoes and how they each behave, how to start seedlings, the nutrients they need, how to transplant them, their diseases and pests, the type of soil and nutrients they need, watering requirements, training and staking the different varieties, companion planting, and seed saving.

Mary Alice Johnson started ALM Organic farms 24 years ago. The farm grows vegetables, fruits and herb, offers workshops, and has the seed business, Full Circle Seeds which offers certified organic vegetable, herb and flower seeds from many heritage varieties which were chosen by our grandparents for their excellent flavour and pest resistance.
