Griffin Pub's Annual Christmas for Kids Chili Cook-off

The Griffin Pub is holding their annual Chili Cook-Off Christmas for Kids event again this year. It is a fun-filled evening which includes games, prizes live auction and, of course the chili cook-off. This popular event takes place on November 28, starting at 4:00pm and raises funds for 4 local children�s related charities: 1) Santa�s Workshop 2) Secret Santa 3) The Salvation Army Christmas Hamper Program and 4) The Transition Society.
Their volunteers have been working tirelessly canvassing local businesses for donations for the auction and there will be a lot of incredible and/or unique items up for grabs. This is a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done early. The Griffin Pub is proud to have special guest, Colin Day as their auctioneer.
If you are interested in entering a chili in the competition, the entry forms are at the pub or can be obtained from VaLori. The winner gets to take home the coveted Chili Cook-off trophy and, of course bragging rights. After judging the remaining chili is sold for $5.00 per bowl � the proceeds of which also goes to the charities. So break out Grandma�s secret chili recipe and show the world who�s the best.
There will also be a Chicken Poop 50/50. The chicken is placed in a pen that has 1000 squares painted on the floor. You can purchase a square for $2.00 each. If the chicken "does his thing" on your number, you win half the proceeds which can get as high as $1000.00! Squares are on sale now at the pub and can be purchased at any time up until the moment the chicken has declared a winner
The theme this year is Disney, so come dressed as your favorite Disney character and join in the fun! Stick around after the event for a game of �Name That Tune� with Summit Sound
