The Greater Nanaimo Cycling Coalition�s Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 26, 2010, at the Bowen Park Recreational Center, in Activity Room 1, at 7:30 pm.
Nanaimo cyclist and writer Richard Littlemore, co-author of the book Climate Cover-up: The Crusade to Deny Global Warming and editor of the climate change website DeSmogBlog, will speak about the science of climate change, about the corporate campaign to confuse us about that science, and about what we, as cyclists and citizens, can do to set the record straight.
The AGM is a great opportunity for members of Nanaimo�s growing cycling community to discuss goals for the coming year and to get involved in the exciting work of advocating for and building a more bicycle-friendly community.
The main items of business will include the Board of Director�s Report and the election of new Directors.
After the presentation, members are invited to stay around for refreshments and an opportunity to socialize with other members.
