Vancouver Island residents and commercial property owners are at the forefront of employing solar energy in BC. For the Campbell River GreenTech Exchange Forum, one leading solar energy champion will discuss the advances and opportunities in solar PV and microgird applications.
About the speaker:
Dave Neads is a founding director of GabEnergy, a non profit society whose purpose is to provide high quality, low cost Photo Voltaic energy systems for residential use. Dave lived off grid for 27 years. He has 30 years experience with solar PV, both as a consumer, a system planner and an installer. Dave is part of the GabEnergy team that co-ordinates the design and installation of residential solar systems on Gabriola Island; facilitating the purchase of superior components at the lowest possible prices. GabEnergy is currently developing a solar co-op model that will allow members to invest in and benefit from a large-scale solar installation.
