A second language is another asset every child should have the chance to develop. Quarterway Elementary School has agreed to accept applications and to run the program. This is an excellent opportunity for any child who is not currently in French Immersion.
Late French Immersion program accepts 10 and 11 year olds who have successfully completed Grade 5. LFI is an enriching program that teaches the regular BC curriculum in French, accelerating French comprehension and communication. By the end of Grade 7, students have learned enough French to join the Early French Immersion students for Grade 8. French immersion are programs intended for non-French speaking students who wish to develop a high level of proficiency in both official languages.
French Immersion is a program that can offer your child:
- A fun, effective and challenging way to learn French at an early age
- The opportunity to learn the same curriculum as the regular English program, in French
- An opportunity to participate in rich French cultural learning experiences
- A bilingual future
