Good Vibrations

Since its debut in March, 2013, Good Vibrations has continued to receive exuberant reviews for its effortlessly stylistic and energetic presentation of Irelands Troubles in the 1970s through the lens of real life record store owner and radical, Terri Hooley (Richard Dormer, Game of Thrones). After the events of Bloody Sunday brings his city to its knees, and random beatings become a normal way of life, Hooley opens a record store in an effort to create neutral ground for his people. During his efforts, he discovers of one of Irelands top punk/new wave artists of its time, The Undertones, spurring Hooley to convince Ireland that he knows whats right for them during a time when everything seems wrong.
With shout-outs to British directing gurus like Danny Boyle (127 Hours) and Guy Ritchie (Snatch), directors Lisa Barros DSa and Glenn Leyburn infuse all of their scenes with fun, flair, and humour, while Richard Dormers portrayal of the endearing and relentless Terri Hooley is as infectious as his smile. Not only is Good Vibrations a poignant history lesson about the violence that revolved around Irelands Unionists and Loyalists for over 30 years, but its also a renewal in the faith of film as a vehicle for fresh entertainment.
As Hooley screams to his voracious audience, New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers Belfast has the reason!
