Nanaimo's Gold & Shadow bring their indie pop-rock sound to the Duncan Showroom on June 16.

GOLD & SHADOW are a four-piece art-rock group from Nanaimo, BC. Their vigorous and organic approach to music is a perfect companion for the wild, oceanic landscapes of their home. Influenced by Radiohead, The National and Bon Iver, they have been proud to share stage with acts such as We Are The City, Good for Grapes, and The Dudes. They performed at the 2015 Rock of the Woods festival, and their music has been included on “All Together Now”, a 2012 Seva Canada charity album also featuring Great Lake Swimmers.
In September 2015, they released their debut record “TORCH” and immediately followed with a Western Canadian tour, serviced by publicity from Vancouver’s FritzMedia. The record received press and favorable reviews from outlets such as Exclaim!, Canadian Beats, and Grayowl Point. They are currently working on a new EP with Vancouver’s Tom Dobrzanski (Said the Whale, The Zolas) due June 2016.
