Encore! is excited to be performing seasonal songs that capture the joy and love of the holiday season. From classical music such as "Laudamus Te" by Vivaldi and "O Regem coeli" (Oh King of Heaven) by Tomas Luis de Victoria to "Text Me Merry Christmas" arranged by Roger Emerson, this choral programme has been thoughtfully planned with the audience in mind so that there will be something for everyone. Traditional tunes such as "The Holly and the Ivy", "Stille Nacht" and Gustav Holst's "In the Bleak Midwinter" will be juxtaposed with the gospel spiritual "Go Where I send Thee", Samuel Barber's "Sure on this Shining Night" and David Maddux's uplifting "Tching-Tchinga-Ryah", and, of course, we will carry on with the much enticipated and appreciated Encore! Christmas tradition of including audience sing-a-long songs!
