The film version drew megastars and with good reason. The trademark Mamet dialogue is there but it's more funny, more scathing, more intense and much more satisfying!
Men are trying to earn a living during a recession, feeling crushed by circumstances and their bosses. Sound familiar? Yeah it could be written about now but it was early eighties. Same script, different times.
The place gets robbed but what's more important is the guys are robbed of their self-respect. Survival of the fittest pits one against the other. If we can laugh at ourselves, we can move forward. These guys can't but we can!
