Stride to Turn the Tide is a national walk to raise awareness and funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundations Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. In this third annual event, almost all of the 240 Grandmothers Groups across Canada are walking with their family and friends with the goal of raising $1 million dollars. In their pledge of solidarity for their African sisters, Canadian grandmothers have committed that, We will not rest until they can rest. Stride to Turn the Tide is a powerful expression of that bond with every footstep; grandmothers across Canada are showing their support and profound respect for Africas grandmothers and the children in their care.
The Glacier Grannies invite you to walk, stroll, roll around the airpark; walk as little or as much as you can. Bring your friends, family, grandkids, walking shoes, water bottle, and an umbrella if necessary. Donate at registration or on-line at www.glaciergrannies.org.
