Celebrating our 28th year, Gifts for Myself and Others invites you to join us and capture the magic of Christmas starting Saturday, November 19th, for a TWO day show and sale of fine crafts. More than twenty-five juried, well known and renowned exhibitors will be at the lovely Leonardo da Vinci Centre offering the latest in fashion and home décor trends, unique presents and holiday wares.

What better way to spend the day with friends and family than at the Da Vinci Centre where you can soak up the seasonal atmosphere, find that perfect something for everyone on your shopping list, and even, perhaps yourself! Be the lucky one to win one of two $125 Vendor Shopping Sprees (one draw at 2pm each on Saturday and Sunday) or one of the many hourly draws.

This year, peruse artist’s booths showcasing some of the finest and unique handcrafted artisans works from Vancouver Island & the Gulf Islands and meet the artists who are inspired by the surrounding beauty of the West Coast to create one of-a-kind pieces. Returning visitors will recognize Peggy Brackett’s fabulous dichroic glass works of Kiln Art Glass, the whimsical and colorful creations of Maria Roxborough, quilled treasures by Claudia Pampin, and Sandra Regent’s glowing beeswax candles and globes. This year we welcome new artisans’ works; the weaving of Leola’s Studio, beautiful handmade soap by Kristen Harris, and the works of many other artisans. Shoppers interested in the functional and decorative will be delighted by Gbuddy Leatherwork’s unique pieces and the creations of Gulf Island Cribbage.

If you are looking for the whimsical, peruse Rachel McFarland’s garden delights, Janet Magdanz’s pottery and the vibrant mixed media works of Penny Pitcher and Jenny Farkas with more functional and fashionable pieces to be discovered in between. Jewelry lovers will be thrilled with the high quality pieces by Valeria Martinez, Patricia Hughes, Mixed Metal Mimi, Judith Hirczy and others. Shoppers will find a variety of giftwares from Forge Craft Designs and gleaming metal sculptures by Jo Ludwig. Gifts for Myself and Others is the perfect size: big enough to offer a dynamic cross section of functional, decorative, and wearable crafts and small enough to allow time to enjoy all that the show has to offer. You will find our Gallery Shoppe upstairs once again featuring even more unique gift ideas from our Island Artisan’s members.

This year we are pleased to partner with Woodwynn Farms to fundraise for the farm and their Creating Homefulness Program. Chef Gianfranko Mosca has graciously offered his time, energy and culinary skills to create a cafe dining menu for your pleasure. All food is gifted and sourced locally with all profits going to Woodwynn Farms.
