Gettin' Higher Choir in Concert

One of BC's top youth music ensembles will join the 300-member Gettin' Higher Choir in concerts as a benefit for the youth program, The Power Of Hope. COASTLINE comprises 15 of the province's top young musicians playing in an ensemble of 10 fiddles, two cellos, two guitars and a piano.
The musicians are aged 14 through 20 and are coached and mentored by international fiddle sensation Ivonne Hernandez, he reigning five-time Grand North America Fiddle Champion. Since its founding in January 2013, COASTLINE has gone from triumph to triumph, culminating in performances last year at the Aberdeen Youth Festival in Scotland where they were Canada's proud representatives.
The concerts are the 19th annual benefit by the Gettin' Higher Choir for The Power of Hope, a multi-cultural arts-based leadership initiative for youth.
