Gettin' Higher Choir In Concert

Up-and-coming Victoria singer-songwriter Fintan O'Brien will appear as Guest Artist with the 300-member Gettin' Higher Choir in two concerts that are a benefit for The Power of Hope. Fintan, who originally hails from Birmingham, England, but now makes Victoria his home, has been writing songs since the age of 10. Victoria residents and visitors originally knew him as a busker and then appearing with his family members as part of The O'Brien Family. More recently he has enthralled audiences at the Vancouver Island Music Festival, the Filberg Festival, and on the Main Stage at Canada Day festivities in Victoria.
The concerts will mark the 20th anniversary of benefits put on by the Gettin' Higher Choir for The Power of Hope, a youth leadership development organization utilizing the arts. The Gettin' Higher Choir is co-led by Shivon Robinsong and Denis Donnelly.
