10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

An Introduction to Quebec Research is a workshop hosted by the Victoria Genealogical Society. Join presenter Melanie Arscott: Settlement in Quebec began in early 1600's, and the ports of Quebec and Montreal were a major gateway to North America. The immigration came in waves, with families leaving the Old World looking for opportunity and prosperity in North America. Were your ancestors a part of this immigration event?

Join Melanie as she helps introduce you to a variety of English records available for researchers, and some key words that will help decipher the clues in the French records. The emphasis will be on the English population along the Saint Lawrence River.
