Garden Design: Water Harvesting
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
An African proverb suggests that: "before you plant the trees, you must plant the rain".
This workshop will cover a wide range of practical strategies and techniques employed to catch & store water runoff in the landscape. From broad-acre pond/swale systems to home-scale rain gardens and huglekulture swales, it will demonstrate the value of consciously moving earth to set-up long-term water storage systems.
Tayler Krawczyk is a lifelong student of ecological & permaculture design. His business, Hatchet & Seed Contracting, specializes in project management & design for edible landscape establishment, water harvesting earthworks & agro-forestry projects.
