Join Volunteer Victoria and the Greater Victoria Community Funders Network for this blended workshop and working session designed to support grant writing.

Participants will have an opportunity to:

gain key insights for guiding future grant proposals

develop a greater understanding of funder perspectives in Greater Victoria

share your future learning needs with the Greater Victoria Community Funders Network

network with your professional associates working in community.

Session A

8:30 - Granting 101

With Lisa Mort-Putland, Executive Director of Volunteer Victoria, facilitates this session and focuses on Grantwriting Basics. This session will be helpful if you are new to fundraising, or need a refresher as you build your own grant requests. 10:00 am -Round Table Discussion

A round table discussion, will introduce members of the Greater Victoria Community Funders network. Meet their community liaisons, learn more about their organizations mission, and gain insight into what they are looking for.

11:45-12:30 Panel Presentations:

Funders will participate in a panel and will be talking about grant management, outcomes and reporting. A list of funders on the panel will be available soon.

12:30-1:00 pm Building a Relationship with a Funder presenter to be confirmed shortly.

1:00-1:30pm - A Case Study of a Successful Grant

Hear from a funder and a grantee what worked, what were some challenges and what did they learn to get to the point of a successful grant. 1:30-1:45 - General Q&A
