Thursday, March 8th, 2018
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

How can psychological science be explained through media, art and storytelling in popular culture? Find out at this presentation by clinical psychologist and pop culture enthusiast Andrea Letamend, who is associate director of Mental Health Training, Intervention and Response for the Office of Residential Life at the University of California Los Angeles.

Letamendi is also host of podcasts “The Arkham Sessions” and “Lattés with Leia.” Her work aims to accelerate and widen the impact of psychological science through community engagement, dissemination and de-stigmatization of mental health issues.

All university buildings are accessible to people with differing mobility issues and mobility aids. Those with a disability requiring individual accommodation should call the event's organizer at least 48 hours in advance. UVic is also accessible by various modes of sustainable transportation including regional transit and cycling. For those arriving by car, pay parking is in effect.
