This annual book-sale is a beloved community tradition. There are books from just about every genre for you to peruse, including gardening, Canadiana, Indigenous, Mystery, Cooking, Art, etc. You are sure to find a treasure! A children’s corner, and bargain books tables are also included. There is a cafe where you can sit, look at the books you are considering for purchase, and have a snack (by donation). Look for the Friends wearing hot pink T-shirts if you have a question while at the sale. This is the only fundraiser for the Gabriola Friends of the Library, and well worth attending. Take the ferry or sea plane over, spend the night in one of Gabriola’s BnB’s or other accommodations, and enjoy the weekend. The Gabriola Community Hall is located at the south end of the island, and is not walking distance from the ferry terminal. The local bus, Gertie, may be available for rides.
