Freedom Gospel Choir Annual Concert

The choir will perform a variety of Gospel songs, sung in haunting, jazz, blues and traditional styles. There will be Freedom songs from S. Africa as well as traditional tunes such as Wade in the Water, Goin to the Holy City .Hear a contemporary arrangement of Soon Ah Will Be Done and new arrangements like Ain't Judgin no Man. The choir will also perform How Can I Keep From Singing, a Quaker hymn in a Gospel rendition. The choir is expertly accompanied by Tanya Gillespie, a local musician, song writer, teacher who also has her own recording studio in the Cowichan Valley. The guest artist will be Dale Manason blues singer. The choir is directed by Ann Antonides.
