The Capital Regional District is offering their annual free public tours of the Greater Victoria Water Supply Area and water supply facilities including the Sooke Dam and the ultraviolet treatment plant. The CRD's Get to Know Your H2O Tours are a great way to discover how your drinking water is delivered from the source to your tap. During the tour you’ll discover the natural landscapes, water supply reservoirs, and the treatment process that provides Greater Victoria with high quality tap water.
Each tour will leave from the CRD Field Office on a school bus that will be guided to various stops within our protected watersheds to let you discover these special places first hand. Tours are offered Monday, April 30 to Saturday, May 5 as well as Saturdays and Sunday in June. Half day and full day tours available.
Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling 250.360.3083 from Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm.
The tours are not recommended for children under 12.
Free parking is available. Visit www.crd.bc.ca/watertours for more information.
